day six - CAPE TOWN YOUTH CHOIR
the climb. Here I am at the top of Kilimanjaro, I observe the beauties of this wonderful land full of contrasts so bewitching.
A woman sits next to me, I had not realized she was there, without saying a word she starts to intone a song seems Latin, but I'm not sure, shortly after a set of boys and girls joined in the singing. I close my eyes, the effort of the climb is gone, my heart is light, I feel my body heats up. I watch for a while the choristers in their eyes I see happiness, confidence, a team but also hard work. The woman begins to make the descent into the land of men and the chorus follows, and in a couple of minutes the silence returns. Listen to the Cape Town Youth Choir gets a mystical emotion on the border between reality and dream. A group of harmonious voices that perhaps taken individually would not be so perfect.
